To honor Sergei Prokofiev‘s 70th anniversary of death in 2023, klang.kunst decided to hold a concert series, featuring Prokofiev’s important compositions from various periods of his life.

50 years ago, his music was considered innovative and daring, but these days his compositions are used in computer games, or as phone ringtones or as background music, yet most people don’t realize that what they often hear is actually his compositions.

“The Portrait” is a moderate concert with a program of Prokofiev’s late compositions and a story about Prokofiev’s life, who died on 5th of March in 1953, but almost unnoticed. He even had no flowers at his funeral.

But why were there no flowers at his funeral?

Join us on Saturday, 25th February 2023 to get to know more about Prokofiev, together with talented Thai musicians at Goethe-Saal, Goethe-Institut Thailand.

Music in Therapy
