The grand finale opens with Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet, a groundbreaking masterpiece that redefined Romantic chamber music. A bold and brilliant combination of piano and string quartet, this work inspired generations of composers including Brahms and Dvořák.
Featuring world-class artists and an exceptional Thai pianist, this performance embodies the spirit of German Romanticism, uniting generations and cultures on one stage.
To close the evening, and the festival, over 50 masterclass participants will take the stage together in Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings, a radiant and heartfelt work filled with Bohemian charm and joy.
Written during his years in Vienna by the young yet fiercely original German composer, this trio pushes the boundaries of what three instruments can express – with the depth, intensity, and drama usually reserved for a full orchestra. This is Beethoven before the string quartets, before the symphonies — yet already thinking orchestrally, emotionally, and structurally.
Embark on a musical journey to the pond surrounded by reeds through Klughardt’s evocative trio — a piece that beautifully captures the changing scenes of nature and the longing for a lost beloved, told through the voices of Oboe, Viola, and Piano.
Featuring young artists who have participated in masterclasses with esteemed professors from Germany’s top music universities.
A stage where diversity comes together as one — from music performed on period instruments and works by contemporary composers to performances by selected masterclass participants, representing a wide range of nationalities and generations.
Experience the intimacy of live music up close at the Bangkok International Chamber Music Festival 2025.
The opening night of the festival explores the full spectrum of sound — from string instruments to wind instruments, and finally, a powerful union of both.
From Trio > Quintet > Nonet, the music expands in sound and ensemble — strings, winds, and all 9 instruments together as one
