As a part of an active participant you will receive:

3 individual lessons (50 minutes each) with Professor Wally Hase.

Professional piano accompaniment by Rasikamon Siyapong.

Chamber music rehearsals and performance opportunities with Professors Wally Hase and Martin Spangenberg.

Participation in the Participants’ Concerts.

Active participation fee: 20,000 Thai baht

Provided by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Thailand and The Royal Thai Embassy Berlin, The Scholarships are intended for talented students who want to improve their skills and discover new paths through participation in this masterclass, but their economic situation makes it difficult for them.

How to Apply

The decision to grant a scholarship is based on the judgment of Professor Wally Hase and The Royal Thai Embassy Berlin.

Purchase of day tickets at the masterclass’s venue for the price of 200 THB per ticket.
Admission is free of charge for students and undergraduate university students.
The fee is non-refundable.

Wally Hase

Flutist Wally Hase was born in Freiburg/Brsg. (Germany) and was a student of Prof. Karl Friedrich Mess.

In 1986 she began her studies with him at the Hochschule fur Musik in Stuttgart after having performed that same year with the World Youth Orchestra in the USA through a fellowship. She continued her studies with Prof. Jean-Claude Gérard and Prof. Aurèle Nicolet.

 As a member of the Ludwigsburg Festival Orchestra, Wally Hase participated in concert tours of China, Japan and South America. In 1989 she performed at the Festival of the Arts in New Zealand. She was a fellow of the Richard Wagner Society Bayreuth in 1990 and, from 1990 to 1993, a member of the Karlsruhe Ensemble 13 and the Bach Collegium Stuttgart under the direction of Helmuth Rilling. 

Already before completing her studies, at the age of 22, Wally Hase became solo flutist with the Staatskapelle Weimar, a position she held until 2009. Since 2008 she has collaborated regularly with the Camerata Salzburg. She performs as solo flutist with various ensembles and orchestras, the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Cappella Andrea Barca, conducted by Sir András Schiff, the radio symphony orcherstras of SWR Freiburg-Baden Baden, MDR Leipzig and WDR Koln, and the Royal Flemish Philharmonic. 

As well as being soloist with among others the Camerata Salzburg, the Dresden Philharmonic, the Folkwang Chamber Orchestra, and the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Chemnitz, she frequently appears as a chamber musician – in duos with the guitarist Thomas Muller-Pering, the pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja, the Trio Lobkowitz Wien and with the Mandelring Quartett. In addition she collaborates in “Music & Lyric” projects with Prof. Dr. Jan Philipp Reemtsma. 

Her all-around engagement as soloist, chamber musician and founding member of various ensembles is complemented by CD recordings, as well as television and radio productions. In 2006 she was honored with the German Record Critics’ Award and in 2007 with the Leopold. 

In 2000 Wally Hase was appointed Professor of Flute at the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar; between 2014 and 2018 she was also guest professor for flute at the University of Music Krakow. In addition to this, Wally Hase maintains a busy schedule giving master classes throughout Europe, Australia, Asia and South America. An international jury activity complete the picture of her musical activities. 

In 2018 Wally Hase was appointed to the prestigious chair of Professor of Flute at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Rasikamon Siyapong 

One of the most sought-after collaborative pianists and chamber musicians in Thailand, Rasikamon Siyapong has performed extensively with vocalists and instrumentalists throughout Europe and Asia. As a pedagogue, she rejoined the faculty of Mahidol University in 2019 and also serves as a collaborative pianist. A regular performer of many festivals and competitions, she has performed on stages in the 4th Jean-Marie Londeix competition, 4th and 6th Beethoven Competition for String Instruments in Bangkok, Summer Festival for String Instruments and Chamber Music in Pelion and Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy. She has also collaborated with leading international vocalists and gave concerts in various European cities such as Munich, Graz, Vienna, Salzburg, Myslenice, Athens, Maribor and Lovran. Her performance with soprano, Tung Lee was broadcasted through program “Das Ö1 Konzert” in Austrian Radio in 2018.      

No stranger in the field of modern music, Rasikamon performs frequently in Thailand International Composition Festival. She is a member of Contemporary Enclave, a Bangkok-based ensemble that aims to advocate contemporary music. She also appeared in „ Kaleidoskopder Zukunft in Wort und Ton“ in Badausseer Gespräche in 2018.   

In 2014, she graduated from College of Music, Mahidol University majored piano performance with a first-class honor. She was a recipient of a scholarship within a framework of ASEA-Uninet and partaking her studies at Mozarteum University as an exchange student in 2014. In Summer 2019, she completed her Master Degree in vocal-accompaniment in University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria under the tutelage of Ao. Univ. Prof. Mag. art. Stacey Bartsch and Julius Drake. During her study in Graz, she was appointed as “Studentische Mitarbeiterin” and played in a class of Prof. Univ.Prof. Mag.art. Dr.phil. Ulf Bästlein.
