As a part of an active participant you will receive:
• 3 individual lessons (50 minutes each) with Professor Erik Schumann.
• Professional piano accompaniment by Usa Napawan.
• Chamber music rehearsals and performance opportunities with Professors Erik Schumann, Florian Richter, and Alexey Stadler
• Participation in the Participants’ Concerts
Active participation fee: 26,000 Thai baht

Scholarships for Thai Active Participants
Provided by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom Thailand and The Royal Thai Embassy Berlin, The Scholarships are intended for talented students who want to improve their skills and discover new paths through participation in this masterclass, but their economic situation makes it difficult for them.
How to Apply
To apply for the scholarship, please send these mandatory appendices along with your application for the masterclass:

- Description of your specific financial situation in Thai or English
- Recommendation letter in Thai or English
The decision to grant a scholarship is based on the judgment of Professor Erik Schumann and The Royal Thai Embassy Berlin.
Guest Auditor
Purchase of day tickets at the masterclass’s venue for the price of 200 THB per ticket.
Admission is free of charge for students and undergraduate university students.
The fee is non-refundable.

Erik Schumann
Erik Schumann, born in Cologne in 1982 as the son of German/Romanian-Japanese parents, has already performed as soloist with many orchestras in Europe, Asia, and the USA. Among them are the NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Bamberger Symphoniker, WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de France, Sinfonia Varsovia, BBC Philharmonic and Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, NHK Orchestra Tokyo, and the National Symphony Orchestra Washington D. C. as well as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to name a few.
As a chamber musician Erik Schumann works with partners such as the Daniel Müller-Schott, Alisa Weilerstein, Anna Vinnitskaya, Martin Fröst, Nils Mönkemeyer, Danjulo Ishizaka,Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Reto Bieri, Ralp Manno, José Gallardo, Viviane Hagner, Daniel Hope, and Cyprien Katsaris.
Together with his siblings Ken and Mark, as well as violist Veit Hertenstein, he forms the internationally highly acclaimed Schumann String Quartet .
Since 2013, Erik Schumann is Professor at the Hochschule for music and performing arts in Frankfurt, Germany.
Erik Schumann plays a violin by Antonio Stradivari, 1699, “ex Auer, Benvenuti” , a generous loan from a german foundation.

Usa Napawan
Usa ventured into political science for her undergraduate studies in International Relations from Chulalongkorn University. She decided to return to music after graduated and received her Master in Music in Piano Performance from the College of Music, Mahidol University under the tutelage of Dr. Nopanand Chanorathaikul.
She has a long-standing artistic relationship with the Pro Musica international vocal and collaborative piano masterclasses under the renowned vocal coach Loh Siew Tuan. She has worked closely with Ms.Tuan and a celebrated collaborative pianist Hein Boterberg in masterclasses held in Thailand and Malaysia in collaboration with Opera Studio Vlanderen (Belgium) from 2008-2013.
Currently, she is a sought-after educator and collaborative pianist who performs regularly with both Thai and international artists, in recitals and festivals, including Jonathon Glonek, Julien Beaudiment, James Hall, Philippe Cuper, Edwin Rodriguez, Sergio Bosi, Arnaldo de Felice, Angela Firkins, Gianni Biocotino, Johan van der Linden, Robert Visser, Lia Uribe, and Magnus Nilsson. She’s also a piano faculty at international schools and Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (collaborative piano and chamber music).
